HERE’S THE STORY:
In December 2010 I traveled to Haiti and decided to help Sow a Seed in bringing joy to the less fortunate kids living in some of the orphanage around the metropolitan area of Port-Au-Prince. This was one of the best experiences of my life to see the joy in these kids face when we bought them Toys and food during the holidays.
SOW A SEED (SAS) is a non-profit Organization, started and led by a group of Haitian-American professionals to provide the basic essentials for disadvantaged children living in extreme poverty in Haiti. SAS is solely comprised of volunteer work.
To help this organization with the great work that they are doing, I decided to run the New York City Marathon 26.2 miles and to top it off I will also do Ironman Cozumel which consist of 2.4 miles swim, 112 miles bike ride, and 26.2 miles run all under 17 hours. I am doing all this in an effort to raise money for these kids and bring joy to their life not only for the Christmas season but also to raise awareness about orphan kids living in Haiti.
For the Next couple Month I hope to raise $2000 to donate to Sow a Seed for all the great work that they are doing with these kids. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
